Fall is in full affect. The temperature outside is slowly dropping, but that doesn’t mean the fun has to stop. There are many activities you can enjoy along the Grand Strand this fall, for Halloween activities to Thanksgiving gatherings. There is always something to do to enjoy every season. Here are some events happening this Fall at some of your favorite places.

Halloween Costume Party at OD Arcade & Lounge

OD Arcade & Lounge is having a costume party with MAD Karaoke featuring a Costume Contest (participants must be 21+) with cash prizes. Food and drink specials all night. One of the Top 10 Most Haunted Restaurants in the U.S. (Answers.com) The Brentwood Restaurant has an interesting history. They have pieced together much information about the house an it former tenants. Some say there are two ghost, or more. The storytellers will guide you through the house, its history and its sightings. The tour also includes and three course dinner starting with the Maison Brentwood Salad with your choice of beef short ribs, salmon bearnaise, Chicken Brentwood, and shrimp chardonnay for your choice in entrée. Chocolate fondant or key lime pie for dessert. Dinner starts at 7 and the tour comes after, the tour is 45 minutes long.

Thanksgiving dinner at The Brentwood is served family style. The meal include Brentwood Salad, oven roasted turkey, hickory smoked ham, southern cornbread stuffing, homemade mash potatoes, maple glazed sweet potatoes, seasonal sautéed vegetables, cranberry sauce, and apple tart or pumpkin pie. The whole family can enjoy this meal there or at home if you pre order family take out by Monday, November 23rd.

Brookgreen Gardens Children Imagination Walk

Address: 1931 Brookgreen Garden Dr, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576

Date & Time: October 31st 10am-4pm

Children of all ages are welcome to take an “Imagination Walk” through the gardens. Children may wear their favorite costume and trick or treat along the way, treats are individually packaged and offered throughout the walk. They may also pick up a scavenger hunt map this is free with garden admission.

Autumn Nights in the Field Lights at Brookgreen Gardens

When: Every Friday and Saturday during October

7pm- 9:30 pm

Cost: $45 (members) $50 (non-members)

VIP Package- $200

In order to get a count for the meals, ticket sales for each weekend will cut off on Friday at noon.

This beautiful fall evening begins with a dinner a served buffet of She Crab or Vegetable Soup, Steamed Oysters, Frogmore Stew, Green Beans, Cole Slaw, Rolls, and Iced Tea. A Fettuccine Vegetable Primavera is included on the buffet as a vegetarian option. A cash wine and beer bar will be available Then wander through Bruce Munro’s exquisite Field of Light. Your ticket includes admission and your meal. The VIP package includes 2 admission tickets, Lowcountry Supper Buffet with reserved seating in the Leonard Pavilion, 2 glasses of wine, Premier parking, and Bruce Munro’s book, Light book which features photos from the Brookgreen exhibit, photos from his exhibits around the world, and the artist’s inspiration for his work.

SCDHEC and CDC guidelines will be followed and they highly recommend guest to wear a mask.

Brew at the Zoo

When: November 7th  5:30pm-8:30pm

Cost: Members : $40

Non-members: $45

$20 for guests designated as drivers.

Ages 21+

Brew at the Zoo is a fall favorite. This year the event will be held in Bruce Munro’s expansive work of art, The Field of Light. There will be a live performance by The Paul Grimshaw Band. Three food trucks will be on site for guests to choose from. Rain date is November 8. All your purchases make a difference and help support Brookgreen Gardens a 501(c)(3) non-profit. CDC guidelines will still be followed for the safety of guest and staff. Masks are highly recommended.

Nights of a Thousand Candles at Brookgreen Gardens

When: November 27th-December 31st

4pm-9pm

Cost: Adults-$ 25 Children- $12 (Members)

Adults-$25 Children-$15 (Non-members)

More than 2,700 hand-lit candles and countless sparkling lights. Walk through the garden pathways with a warm cup of cider, cocoa, or wine. Listen to the sounds of holiday music, carolers singing with your friends and family.

They have added 12 additional nights to this annual event for safety, social distancing, and crowd control. They will have half the amount of tickets available each night compared to previous years.

Beaks and Brushes at Ripley’s Aquarium at Myrtle Beach

When: November 7th, 21st, and December 12th

4pm-6pm

Cost: $45

A unique painting class at Ripley’s Aquarium of Myrtle Beach. Led by a painting instructor, everything is provided to create your very own work of art. Relax and enjoy a glass of wine as you create your own marine-themed painting. Your ticket includes Admission to the Aquarium, One free drink ticket, Appetizers, and Art supplies. This event takes place in the Penguin Playhouse viewing area. Penguins will not be present.
